Pennsylvania men facing drug charges

by | Feb 22, 2018 | Drug Charges

Bradford County was the site of criminal charges for suspected drug involvement recently, according to local sources. Pennsylvania State Police say that five men are being charged with conspiring to traffic in Crystal Meth, along with delivery and possession charges. If these men are found guilty of the drug charges filed against them, they could face serious jail or prison time.

Very little is known about the operation that is said to have led to the arrest of these men. However, it has been confirmed that two 29-year-old men, a 34-year-old man and two 42-year-old men have been accused and are being sought. It is unclear at this time how police came to the determination that these men may be involved in drug trafficking.

Active warrants have been issued for one of the 29-year-old men and one of the 42-year-old men as well. Police have also mentioned that they are expecting several more arrests to take place in the coming days, as the investigation progresses. At the time of the news article announcing the charges, it does not appear that any one of the accused had been formally arrested.

Drug charges are taken seriously by Pennsylvania courts. Thankfully, there are a variety of ways these formal accusations can be addressed by experienced criminal defense attorneys. It’s likely the defense will carefully scrutinize any and all evidence put forth by the prosecution to implicate these five individuals. Careful attention will be paid to assess whether the legal rights of any accused individual was violated, laying the groundwork for filing motions in court that seek to exclude any evidence obtained by improper means.
